Yu-Fai Suen

Yu-Fai has over 30 years of experience in media finance across the UK, US and China. He started his career at EMI Records as a Management Accountant before setting up his own music business, followed by joining PolyGram Filmed Entertainment and subsequently Goldwyn Films (a subsidiary of MGM Studios) in finance-related roles.

This was followed by a tenure as Finance Director and Senior Vice-President Operations, Europe at Momentum Pictures where he established the UK and Spanish branches of the NYSE and TSE listed Alliance Entertainment, a Canadian media powerhouse (which was subsequently merged into Entertainment One).

Yu-Fai was then appointed as Chief Operating Officer at Aramid Capital Partners advising a $350m+ media fund investing in US studio slate deals, corporate investments, and single picture financing, before joining Sir Elton John’s Rocket Pictures as Chief Operating Officer.

He was most recently Managing Director of Pinewood Pictures, a UK regulated advisory firm, where he managed a team advising the Welsh Government and Isle Of Man Treasury on media investments.

Yu-Fai graduated with a BSc in Mathematics from University College London and has been a BAFTA member for over 20 years and sits on the BAFTA Film Committee.
